Select a size and one of their many amazing themes and start creating the book. Select the photos in the Photos app, right click and select Mimeo instead of the Book option. It will only work with High Sierra or above.

You need to download the extension from the Apple store. You’ll notice a digital dot structure too, since it’s not a silver halide book. It’s a nice print, but colours looked a bit colder than they should be, which I noticed with the old Apple books too. Printing: The books are printed using digital printers.Paper: There is no info about the paper on the website, but from my guessing it’s a 148-170gsm paper, it’s silky and feels nice to touch with a very subtle sheen. If you create one of the small books, they can only have a glossy softcover.īarcode only on the inside of the spine, just like in the old Apple book Inside the dust jacket you can see the same style barcode as in the Apple book. You can customise it in any way you want to. An imagewrap matt hardcover with a dust jacket. Cover: One cover option, the exact same as the Apple book used to have.Little section of the photo lost in the middle in double spread layouts Top Mimeo On the spine there is a bit of fabric too for added elegance. There is a nice grey empty double spread at the start and at the end of the book (just like Apple) and a silver Mimeo logo on the end sheet.

The binding is good, however, there seems to be a little gap in the middle, it’s hard to explain, but perhaps the binding is not tight enough (two staples) and you can see a white line inside the spine.

However, the number listed for the image size vary with each attempt but the remark "so we're cropping to the original image size" remains the same. With each of these logs they terminate with a remark " 9 15:14:27:155 EdgeSharpeningFilter: 53 Sharpen edges produced a larger image (3470.0, 5198.0), so we're cropping to the original image size (3456.0, 5184.0)." The first set of numbers I recognize as being the date and time.

When I open this "log" it is a string of computer code that is reading my photo book. The number "461" can change with each attempt and with each photo book that I try to directly upload.

On a separate note after each attempt to directly upload to Mimeo I have a residual ".461log" on my system. And yet Mimeo continues to say on their website and in the App Store that Mimeo will work with macOS 10.13 or later.
MIMEO PHOTOS CASH BACK UPGRADE
When asking Mimeo why one type of project goes through and another does not, get side-stepping of the question with a response to upgrade to Catalina. My direct upload of a much smaller project (Christmas card) went through with no problems.

MIMEO PHOTOS CASH BACK UPDATE
Update - I did the latest update to Mimeo 4.0.2 and it still did not help with my issues of not being able to directly upload my photo books (PDF will not stop load either.) My latest conversations with Mimeo support suggest my problems would "most likely" be resolved if I upgrade to Catalina from Mojave.
